He was born March 26, 1932, in the town of Maple Grove, where he farmed all of his life. On May 30, 1964, he married Judith Roskom at Assumption B.V.M. Church, Pulaski.
Sylvester was a good mechanic and welder, and an all-around handyman. Survivors include his wife, Judith; two sons and one daughter, Andy Smurawa, at home, Robert Smurawa, Tina and her daughter, Anita; and Judith's family, the Roskoms, He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Smurawa in 1970, one brother, and one sister. "If man's wealth were measured by the people who love him, Scott was a wealthy man!" Scott was very genuine, loving and kind. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed doing impersonations. You could also count on receiving a joke or two on your cell phone from him! He loved to talk and was the life of the party. He treasured working in the woodshop with his Dad when he was alive. He spent many hours listening to a variety of music.
Scott loved gardening, enjoyed cooking for his family, and improving the disposition of his cat "Izzy." Scott could always be found watching ESPN. He was a diehard Packers, Brewers, and Badgers fan! He was a man you count on being there whenever you needed him. He is survived by his children, Kyle Alft (mother Michelle), Anthony and Maranda Zwieschowski (mother Melissa); granddaughter, Juliana; sisters and brother-in-law, Laura Zwieschowski, Corinne (Zwieschowski) Zuleger and Vaughn Zuleger; nieces and nephew, Alysce, Kara, and 'Carl Zuleger; Sylvester the parish cemetery. Rademann, Dorothy Ann (Peil) Dorothy Ann (Peil) Rademann, 77, Denmark (formerly of Waukesha), passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at a local hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 7, 1934 in Menomonee Falls, Wis.
She married Arthur C. Rademann on March 7. 1952, in Pewaukee, Wis. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; that was her most special job in life. She and her husband worked sideby-side in several small businesses her entire life.
She is now an Angel in Heaven. She will deeply missed by her husband of 59 years, Arthur; daughters, Cheryl (William) Schultz, Waukesha, Debbie Rabas (Tom), Luxemburg, Terry (Sam) Fameree, New Franken, Lori (Kerry) Krohn-Johnson, Green Bay, and Mary (Tom) Schultz, Tisch Mills, son, Randall (Suki) Rademann, Las Vegas, 13 grandchildren; and 13, great-grandchildren. She is further survived by sister, Kathy (Bernie) Egan, Sussex, aunt, Frieda (Carl) Halla, Lannon, inlaw, Sharon Nabb, Sussex, mother-in-law, Isabelle Mielke, Sussex, step-brothers, Jack (Shirley) Becker, Warren, Harold (Mary Lou) Becker, Sussex, and Alex (Donna) Becker, Lannon, and many other aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces; and several special friends. She was born to the late Raymond and Lula McGuire. Nona graduated from Lena High School in 1948.
The former Nona McGuire married Francis Gilles in 1950. The couple resided in Lena and Green Bay. Nona was a news reporter for Peshtigo times, Oconto County Reporter, Times Herald, and Marinette Eagle Star for many years. She also baby sat for many years. Celestine Byekwaso officiating and burial in St. Charles Cemetery. Dobratz, Harvey H. Harvey H. Dobratz, 93, Kelly Lake, went into the arms of his Lord on Monafternoon, Oct.
31, 2011, at Sharpe Care, with his family present. The seventh of nine children was born July 2, 1918, in the town of Hartland, Shawano County, to Louis and Louise (Kroening) Dobratz. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church where he attended church school before completing grammar school at the LaFollette School. Harvey grew up on the family farm where he attended Shawano High School until his family moved to a farm in Oconto County. In 1941, he purchased a 120 acre farm in the Kelly Brook area and later bought another 53 acres.
His parents lived with Harvey until their deaths (his father in a tragic accident in 1944 and his mother in 1964). It was here that he met his future wife as her parents owned the farm right across the road. On March 13, 1946, he married Winona Kamke at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Following their marriage the couple lived in the town of Spruce, where they operated a dairy farm, raised their two children, James and Vicki, until retiring in 1980. They, along with Harvey's father, cleared over 50 acres of land in order to farm and built their own buildings.
He augmented his income with various jobs throughout the years such as custom harvesting for Wilfred Peterson, logging with Gust Erickson and carpentry work for Anderson Schuettpelz. Harvey also worked with his fatherin-law, Frank Kamke where they helped each other farm and purchased equipment together. As an avid baseball player he continued to play until he was in his 50's and as a competitive bowler, won the State Lutheran Singles Championship. He and his wife, "Nonie" spent their winters in Sun City Center, since 1989. Harvey also liked to deer hunt since his father introduced him to it as a little boy, he onetime shot a 20 point buck.
In his '60s Harvey started golfing and was a member of the Mulligan Club at Kelly Lake, he played golf every Wednesday with his many friends into his '90s. He was interested in sports from his youth, from sandlot baseball as a young man, basketball in high school at Shawano, baseball with the Kelly Lake Kassander, John 79, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011. phillipfuneralhome.com Porter, Joyce K. (Martin) Joyce K. (Martin) Porter, 91, Appleton, died on Oct. 30, 2011. Joyce was a life-long resident of Green Bay, known to many for her business skills, wonderful musical talents, and willingness to donate both to a good cause.
Born in Green Bay, on the thirteenth of June 1920, to Stephanie LaTour and Carl Martin, Joyce attended Saint Peter and Paul Grade School and East High School. She married Gordon J. Porter in 1951. For over 30 years Joyce was manager and owner of Porter's Pub, a third generation family-owned business in Green Bay. A local gathering spot, regulars could always hear her belt out a song if a coin went into the right juke box slot.
To everyones' delight, Booyah was served at the Pub every Fall. As a lifelong member of Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Joyce's musical talents were an important asset to the church choir for over 20 years. She also did production work and performed regularly in the church's Showtime fundraisers. Joyce gave generously of her time and talent to many local organizations. She was named Business Woman of the year by the American Business Woman's Association in 1986.
Joyce also actively participated in the St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary, American Cancer Society, Kraft Chorus where she performed in the Kraft Trio and the Brown County Tavern League Board of Directors. Joyce is survived by her brother, Louis Martin, Appleton, Wis. (wife, Kathleen); nieces, Cathy (Dennis) Ellisen, Appleton; Nancy (Gary Gerds) Martin, Stillwater, Barbara Boncher, Green Bay; nephews, Paul (Marilyn) Martin, Hudson, Mark (Mary) Boncher, Gurnee, Michael (Roxanne) Boncher and Thomas Boncher, Green Bay; many -nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Doris (Dode) Van Miller, also of Green Bay. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou Boncher, and husband, Gordy Porter.

Harvey also did numerous carpentry projects around Kelly Lake, including replacing doors and windows, building decks, sheds and garages, and one time even cutting a cottage in half to expedite an addition. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Lena and once served as president of the council. Harvey will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor and considering everyone as his friend.
