Hertz Arena Recreational Rinks is located in beautiful Estero, Florida half way between Fort Myers and Naples. The recreation department has been training and developing athletes for over ten years. From hockey to figure skating or just open skating to the public, there is a place for everyone to escapes Florida’s heat. With its 200’ x 85’ twin rinks and its 7,100 seated main arena, Hertz Arena is home to various hockey tournaments, figure skating competitions and many memorable occasions such as birthday and company parties. So come cool off for a day and let the fun be on us!
Hertz Arena Recreational Rinks - Public Skating
Are you looking for a unique experience? If so, come try our refreshing public skating sessions. Let our disco ball and intriguing laser show amuse you and your party as you skate around our 200’X 85’ rink while listening to the weekly top 20 tunes. Public skating is a great time had for all with a ray of different times and special deals. So grab some friends or family members and a sweatshirt and come down to cool off with us at Hertz Arena. If you do not have your own skates do not worry because along with the fun we also provide hockey and figure skate rentals sizes 8(child) - 12 (adult).
Hertz Arena Recreational Department - Learn to Skate
Hertz Arena's learn to Skate classes are for the beginner skater age 3 and up. With small competitions and annual Christmas shows, the students are engaged in more than just the lesson process. With a large variety of classes, the Learn to Skate program is for figure and hockey skaters.
Hertz Arena's learn to Play classes are for hockey skaters age 7 to 14 years old. These classes are for those skaters who still need more instruction before joining an in-house league. With two different levels the class is also designed for those hockey players looking for extra practice and skill technique in between league games.

Youth Hockey
Hertz Arena is host to one of the largest youth hockey leagues in the southern states. With over 400 players in leagues from Mini Mite to High School, we provide a fun and competitive atmosphere for the game of hockey. Our participants enjoy a league that is sanctioned by USA Hockey.
Here at Hertz Arena we pride ourselves on skill development, sportsmanship and a safe playing environment for our players. All coaches, referees and instructors are USA Hockey Certified. Hertz Arena provides three seasons for youth hockey. 5 on 5 in the Fall/Spring seasons and 3 on 3 in the Summer.
Adult Hockey
Coolest spot in the sun Hertz Arena adult hockey league is one of the largest league in the state with over 40 teams and over 500 participants playing in a structured well organized Recreation league year round. We offer the best in non checking recreational hockey. With our three sheet facility we are able to expand and grow every year for a great hockey experience. All games are played under USA hockey playing rules.
Hockey Lessons
Individual hockey lessons can be taken during Hertz Arena's Stick N Puck sessions. All hockey players must wear full equipment on the ice and bring their own stick. Hertz Arena provides the nets and pucks for the skaters to practice with. During this time period a coach may accompany the player out on the ice for private instruction. Each instructor must be contacted ahead of time. The player is responsible for both the ice cost and coaching fee. For times and dates please see the Stick N Puck schedule. If a group setting is more desired please look into Hertz learn to Play classes.
Learn to play hockey is designed for beginner hockey players ages 7-14 to learn the basics of skating, stick handling, stopping, passing, and shooting. All players must have completed our Learn to Skate program before being entered into the Learn to Play classes.
Hertz Arena Recreational Rinks - Figure Skating
Lessons
Hertz Arena offers U.S.F.S. programs, providing quality programming for the individual competitive figure skater, combining group and private instruction. Classes are provided in free skating, edge and dance. In addition the skaters are encouraged to take private lessons from our top rated professional staff. Skaters taking private lessons are responsible for the following costs: ice and instructor.

The Florida Everblades FSC is a proud member of United States Figure Skating for the past seven years. We are a young club with big dreams. Our FEFSC family is continually growing not only with members but with accomplishments.
Hertz Arena Recreational Department - Facilities
Group & Private Rentals
Hertz Arena is a great location for any occasion. We specialize in company parties, private ice rentals, and large groups. With 15 guests or more your party could receive a discounted rate to come and skate on one of our twin ice surfaces. Summer camps are encouraged to join us in the nicely air conditioned facility. With our daily public skating times your party could be scheduled any day. If you are looking for a more intimate atmosphere with your group, consider renting out the entire ice surface for only your group. With private rooms located next to the ice surface, you and your group can beat the heat, have a bite to eat, and more importantly have a great time!
Pro Shop
The Florida Everblades Pro Shop is conveniently located between the main arena and the recreation rinks. Visit us for all your Florida Everblades merchandise. We also offer a wide assortment of merchandise for the hockey player or the figure skater along with the service of skate sharpening and repairs. We carry merchandise from such vendors as Nike Bauer, RBK/CCM, Easton, Mision-Itech, TPS, Sherwood, and many more. For the figure skater we sell apparel from Rebel, Duck Crossing and Mondor. We are also an authorized dealer for Harlick, Jackson,a nd Riedell skates. We can special order many products as well.
Hertz Arena - Birthday Parties
Give your child a memorable birthday this year without having to do all the work. That’s right; leave the setup, food and snacks, and cleanup to us. With Hertz Arena's birthday party package your child and his/her friends can have a cool time gliding around the ice during our public skate sessions while listening to the top 20 tunes of the week on satellite radio.
