Does IG trade on weekends? ›

Much of our weekend trading offering is exclusive, as we're the only provider to offer global indices and the GBP/USD forex pair. We also offer EUR/USD and USD/JPY. You can use weekend trading to react to breaking news on a Saturday and Sunday, or to hedge your weekday positions with a weekend one on the same market.

Weekend trading hours on indices are from 4pm on Saturday to 6.40am on Monday (UTC+8)*. Positions open at 6.40am (UTC+8)* on a Monday will roll over into weekday positions when those markets resume 20 minutes later at 7am.

When Can You Trade Dow Jones Futures? While the stock market trades Monday through Friday and has regular opening and closing hours, you can trade futures six days a week and nearly 24 hours per day. E-Mini contracts trade continuously from Sunday evening to Friday afternoon, for example.
