Both Investigation games are included with new HD look, changing the pixel-artstyle of the chibi characters. But worry not, the old style is available too.
Of course the typical QoL features got added here as well, like chapter select or being able to look up previous dialogue. There is also Autoplay, Story-Mode and lots of illustrations and such as bonus in the gallery.

We all know how a ton of Hollow Knight likes just waits to flood the market. And well, Marko is kind of one of them, but at least brings it's own visual look.
While fighting an evil three-headed dragon, Marko fells down into the pits under the city, full of ancient tunnels and creatures.
From here on out, you have quickly your typical Metroidvania setup. Paths and secrets left and right, ways blocked for now, until you find a certain ability. And quickly you see "the Hollow Knight pattern". You get a dash quickly. Mana fills up by hitting enemies and can be used to heal. Maps have to be found or bought. There is the charm system.
All of this in a nicely hand-drawn world with smooth animation. You can see Markos impressive beard swing with every movement.

Satisfactory - Mugen - Out of Early Access September 10th
After more than four years in Early Access it is finally time for Satisfactory 1.0 on September 10. Despite it's story mode being unfinished and later build phases locked out from past versions, it has not stopped the automation game to reach an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam. This from over 140 000 reviews where many have spent hundreds, if not thousands, of hours refining their factories. You can either venture alone or team up with friends in multiplayer when exploring the alien planet filled with strange flora, fauna and other phenomena. Localize basic resources and start building ever more organized factory-setups in order to deliver resources to your employer FICSIT. In return, they will unlock more tech and schematics for you to be able to scale up production further and eventually even constructing a space elevator to send even more resources off-world. On-top of this, there are plenty of customization options to make your builds look amazing in combination with the bright and colorful art-style. The developers at Coffee Stain Studios have certainly listened to their fans over these years and by now it would almost take an unknown, and seriously major, misstep for Satisfactory to not be considered a masterpiece for the ages. Oh, and you will all love the lizard doggos!
Selfloss - Oinone - Out September 5th
This narrative adventure game is set in a fantasy world inspired by the nature and legends of Iceland, where slavic inspired myths come to life.
Old man Kazimir is stuck in the underworld. Hoping to get revived, he starts on an emotional journey to fulfil tasks for Marena, queen of the underworld. On his way, he performs the selfloss ritual, to heal the pain of those who lost a loved one.
A special gameplay gimmick is his magic staff casting light to fight against the evil miasma, taking over the afterlife. But it's also used to activate buttons and heal yourself.
The pacing is quite slow, and the main focus lies on exploring the surroundings with a certain puzzle focus. This makes the combat feel a little unfitting and the roll to evade is absurdly slow.
Overall the controls felt a bit rough to me when playing the demo. Yet I found the world quite fascinating and nice to look at. The game reminded me a lot of Arise: A Simple Story in terms of graphics, gameplay, atmosphere and story.
If you want to give it a try yourself, you should check Steam to see, if the demo is still up. The full release is coming to GOG as well.

The Plucky Squire is an imaginative adventure game, switching between 2D and 3D, mixing flat cartoon graphics with realistic 3D surroundings.

UFO 50 - Uzzy - Out September 18th
UFO 50 is a collection of 50 single and multiplayer games from the creators of Spelunky, Downwell, and Catacomb Kids. Retro Strategy Games Anniversary - Uzzy
It's quite the anniversary month for the strategy genre, with 4 all time classics of the genre celebrating their anniversary this month. Homeworld and Age of Empires 2 turn 25, while Rome: Total War and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War turn 20 years old. And wow do I feel older now. All four offer something different and remain remarkably playable today, with three of them having had remasters/remakes for the modern era. Sadly Dawn of War remains in its original condition, though you can enjoy the charm of metal boxes and 100 Baneblades.
So why not give them a go this month, feel some nostalgia for these classics of the genre. Grab an achievement in any of them and post it up here. The new remasters are fine for that.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty - Uzzy
It's been a full year since Phantom Liberty arrived, not only restoring a lot of Cyberpunk 2077's reputation, but being the best damn RPG of 2023 (What? Rogue Trader got average reviews!). Its tale of intrigue and spycraft enthralled many, myself included. You may have noticed that.
For this month's achievement, why don't you grab the final achievement for that game. That's right, complete Things Done Changed and get The Tower ending. You earned it, your happy ending.
