Today I was fortunate to listen to a panel lead by legends Mark Mullen, Mark Suster, Dana Settle, and William Hsu where they discussed the future forecast in the startup investing world.Thank you Watertower Ventures for letting Escalon (Full Stack) co-sponsor the event!Some key take away's I can share with founders:Expect time line for raising capital to extend, and that founders will need to develop relationships with investors. Expect that to take more than 6 months.Mark Suster would say to Always Be Raising.Gone are the days of two founders, a dog, and a pitch deck raising capital at a 35 million dollar evaluation. (I'm sure that never happened right? 😁)The market is returning to normal, the run up of investing in 2020 through 2021 was abnormal and SASS was over performing in its X returns.The market is tightened, but great companies come out of good times and they come out of bad times. Companies that are great will still be able to raise capital.Ai should be on the road map of any tech or sass company.Don't just bolt Ai onto your pitchdeck, investors are attending hack-a-thons and learning everything they can around Ai and its future.Will update more as I hear more from great minds in the industry as LaTech Week continues!#ai #startup #founders #investing
