How many absences are allowed at Walmart? ›

At Walmart, employees have up to five occasions of absences or tardiness in a 6-month period without facing disciplinary action. These occurrences could be unplanned absences, late arrivals or early departures. The company recognizes that unexpected occurrences may arise, so this policy allows them some flexibility.

It depends on if you call in and how many hours you miss as to how many points against you you'll get. Whether you get points for being late or missing days all depends on how much management likes you. There is a point system for workers. If you call out, one full day missed is 1 point and half a day is 0.5 points.

Walmart employees can receive up to 5 points before they are considered for termination. Points are reset to zero after six months.
